Join Us in Advancing Equity and Inclusion in Rural Uganda From Anywhere in the World

The Rural Smiles Foundation (RSF) is currently inviting passionate, skilled, and committed individuals to apply for remote volunteer positions to support our Gender and Social Inclusion portfolio. These opportunities are ideal for individuals who are dedicated to advancing gender justice, equity, and inclusion and are looking to contribute meaningfully to rural-based grassroots initiatives in Uganda.

About the Rural Smiles Foundation

The Rural Smiles Foundation is a youth-led nonprofit organization legally operating in Uganda with headquarters in Kibaale District. RSF works to promote and advance health, digital, and economic rights for vulnerable and marginalized communities, especially in rural areas.

Our strategic focus areas are:

  • Health and Health Rights (including SRHR, NCDs, and maternal health)

  • Digital Rights and Internet Freedom

  • Economic Empowerment and Livelihoods

  • Social Inclusion

Why Gender and Social Inclusion?

Despite policy commitments, rural Ugandan communities continue to face deep-rooted gender inequality and systemic marginalization of women, girls, and people with disabilities. Our Gender and Social Inclusion programming seeks to:

  • Address structural inequalities and discrimination

  • Promote inclusive community development

  • Build capacity for gender-transformative change

  • Advocate for policy and cultural shifts to protect vulnerable groups

Your volunteer engagement will support RSF’s ongoing work to ensure that no one is left behind.
